I didn't start this to become a solar guy. A brush fire knocked out my main grid breaker, my water pump failed, and I was completely without power. That was the turning point.
Every build you see here came out of real necessity — not a YouTube project. I bought the equipment, wired it myself, and documented what actually happened. These are the systems powering my home and homestead right now.

Build 01
21kW Ground Mount Solar Array
Porter, Texas — Full Homestead Power
This is the main event. A ground-mounted array covering the primary power needs of the entire homestead — built over time as the system expanded. Survived two Texas summers and Winter Storm Fern without missing a beat.
Build 02
EG4 6000XP Whole-Home Backup
Primary Home System — Purchased April 2024
My first serious inverter purchase — bought it in April 2024 and it's been running daily ever since. Two Texas summers. A well pump. Power tools. This is the workhorse of the homestead and the inverter I recommend most.

EG4 12000XP Whole-Home System
Expanded Capacity — Full Home Coverage
When the 6000XP wasn't enough to cover the full load demands of the homestead, I added the 12000XP. I own and run both — which puts me in a unique position to compare them head to head from real ownership, not spec sheets.

EG4 3000EHV-48 Studio Build
Dedicated Office & Production Power
A dedicated system for the studio and office — keeping production equipment, networking gear, and workstations running independently from the main home system. Filmed and documented the full ATS installation for OGSL.

50kWh LiFePO4 Battery Bank
Parallel LiFePO4 — EG4 3000HEV Build
The battery story here is unusual — I acquired 50kWh of LiFePO4 batteries at a deeply discounted rate through a contact, documented the entire acquisition, and built out the parallel bank with the EG4 3000HEV-48V. The full build is on the channel.
