I want to be upfront about how this site makes money, because trust matters more to me than a sale. Off Grid Solar Living is an independent, family-run homestead blog, and it's supported in part through affiliate partnerships. Here's exactly what that means for you.

What affiliate links are

An affiliate link is a special tracking link. When you use one to buy a product, the retailer pays me a small percentage of the sale as a referral fee. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway — in many cases you actually pay less, because several of my partner links automatically apply a discount at checkout.

Who I partner with

I only partner with companies whose products I personally use, have tested, or would genuinely recommend to a neighbor. My current affiliate partners include:

• Signature Solar — my primary partner. I'm a verified customer and a Signature Solar Brand Ambassador, running a 21kW EG4 system I bought and installed on my own property.
• Rich Solar — solar panels, charge controllers, and off-grid components.
• Current Connected — EG4 and balance-of-system equipment.
• Amazon — as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases through my storefront and product links.

My commitment to you

The commissions never come before the truth. Here's what I promise:

• I recommend gear based on real-world ownership and testing on my own Texas homestead — not on which company pays the most.
• If something has flaws or didn't work for me, I'll tell you.
• I'll never recommend a product just to earn a commission.
• Affiliate links are clearly disclosed near where they appear, and outbound affiliate links carry the appropriate nofollow sponsored attributes.
